Academic English for Engineers The aim of this course is to equip scientists and engineers with the language and communication skills necessary for success at university and beyond. It focuses on two main learning outcomes. By the end of the course, students should be able to deliver an effective presentation and produce formal technical writing related to their disciplines. Students will further develop 21st century skills, such as ICT literacy, problem solving and critical thinking.
IELTS Target 5.0 is aimed at students who want to take the IELTS exam while studying at a pre-intermediate level. The aim is to prepare you for the General Training exam rather than the Academic exam, though some additional Academic exam practice is provided at the end of the course. Scoring 5.0 in General Training exam is more realistic than doing so in the Academic exam. The length nd academic content of the reading passages in the Academic exam, together with the more challenging writing tasks, makes the Academic course far more demanding.
Integrate is a multi-level reading and writing series for beginner to intermediate learners of English. The series features reading passages in a variety of formats on high-interest topics linked to common academic standards. Throughout the series, learners gain familiarity with reading skills, reinforced through writing tasks. Reading comprehension is progressively developed in tandem with fluency. Students gradually expand their vocabulary through exposure to high-frequency and academic vocabulary related to the unit topics. Engaging videos and augmented reality (AR) content enrich the learning experience and provide opportunities for developing digital literacy and 21st century skills.
Develop listening and speaking skills and acquire the Academic Word List. Inside Listening and Speaking is a five-level academic listening and speaking course that develops students' skills and teaches key academic vocabulary from the Academic Word List.
Develop writing skills and acquire the Academic Word List. Inside Writing is a five-level academic writing course that develops students’ writing skills and teaches key academic vocabulary from the Academic Word List.
