You can't capture and live with wild animals for over twenty years without playing a part in the lives of those animals. After a while, they seem to become half-human - take on human traits. But there are also people living in the jungle country. These people are sometimes as interesting as the animals, snakes, and birds that I have captured.
Here are stories of some of the animals and people I have met in my years in the strange and mysterious far East.
Attack and Defense: Astonishing Animals, Bizarre Behavior (Animal Planet: Weird and Wonderful)

Come face to face with the record breakers of the animal kingdom in this lavishly illustrated new series. Each title features more than 200 of the world's most extraordinary animals and their sometimes-bizarre behavior. Small animal veterinarians are increasingly taking on caseloads that include farm animals, with cases being presented by local hobby farmers, smallholders, and novelty pet owners. Recognizing this trend, this book provides a quick reference guide for small-animal trained veterinarians in the basics of surgery and treatment of farm animals. Popular animals such as cattle, sheep, goats, camelids and backyard poultry are covered, and basic techniques such as anaesthesia, clinical examination techniques, breeding, surgery and euthanasia are discussed.
