English in Mind is a four-level course for teenagers. Each level contains 16 units grouped into four modules. Clear learning objectives at the beginning of each module, plus 'Check your Progress' sections at the end, help students and teachers plan learning more effectively. Each level of the course provides 80-90 hours of class work with extra photocopiable activities and tests in the Teacher's Resource Pack. The course can be used with mixed ability classes and offers dual entry points.
Basic English Words and Phrases • Level 1 (2021-08)
This Basic English Words and Phrases Level 1 Class is for beginners. You will continue practice speaking with our easy, beautiful and very effective speaking training tools that are built on the Synergetic Language Matrix (SLM). SLM enables our students to practice speaking in the same way they learned their native language in childhood. They don't need teachers and they don't need to learn grammar and words. The only things they need is to look, listen and repeat.
Ready for Planet English is a compact course, characterized by a solid teaching structure, motivating activities and current and engaging texts. This year the offer expands and also includes Ready for Planet English B2-Towards Exams. The series, conceived for the two-year and three-year periods, covers the program envisaged for levels A1 + / B1 / B2 of the Common European Framework. Ready for planet English is enriched by a series of resources for Integrated Digital Education such as the Operational Cards on the topics of the 2030 AGENDA and the Kahoot! Digital quizzes.
Reading the Oxford English DictionaryShea’s engougement (“irrational fondness”) for dictionaries led him to spend a year reading through all 20 volumes of the Oxford English Dictionary, and he describes this account as “the thinking man’s Cliff Notes to the greatest dictionary in the world.” For each letter of the alphabet he provides a handful of his favorite words and his own humorous glosses, along with musings on the history of the OED, dictionaries in general, and his reading life. (He does most of his OED reading at the Hunter College Library and finds himself turning into one of those “Library People” as the year goes by.)
