(Григо́рий Ефи́мович Распу́тин)
( January 22, 1869 [ January 10]– December 29, 1916 [ . December 16]) was a Russian mystic who held an influence in the later days of Russia's Romanov dynasty. Rasputin played an important role in the lives of the Tsar Nicholas II, his wife the Tsaritsa Alexandra, and their only son the Tsarevich Alexei, who suffered from haemophilia. Rasputin's connection with the Tsesarevich is what catapulted him into Russian politics. The Tsaritsa fearing for her son's life would not let him be dismissed again. ...
