Statistics II for Dummies
This book is designed for those who have completed the basic concepts of statistics through confidence intervals and hypothesis testing (found in Statistics For Dummies) and are ready to plow ahead to get through the final part of Stats I, or to tackle Stats II. However, I do pepper in some brief overviews of Stats I as needed, just to remind you of what was covered and make sure you’re up to speed.

The Thief of Happiness: The Story of an Extraordinary Psychotherapy
This eloquent, stream-of-consciousness case study of psychotherapy entangles the reader from the first page. A patient in therapy for seven years, Friedman (Writing Past Dark: Envy, Fear, Distraction, and Other Dilemmas in the Writer's Life) portrays her thoughts and feelings during the process of analysis through exquisitely painted word-pictures. She shows how she recovered from her writer's block and achieved new levels of self-confidence through what felt like an almost magical process.
Writing for Visual Media looks at the fundamental problems a writer faces in learning to create content for media that is to be seen rather than read. It takes you from basic concepts to practice through a seven-step method that helps you identify a communications problem, think it through, and find a resolution before beginning to write.

Larkin Conner Barkley lives like the City of Angels is hers for the taking. Young and staggeringly rich, she speeds through the city during its loneliest hours, blowing through red after red in her Aston Martin as if running for her life. Until out of nowhere a car appears, and with it the metal-on-metal explosion of a terrible accident. Dazed, Larkin attempts to help the other victims. And finds herself the sole witness in a secret federal investigation.
