Beagles For Dummies

Beagles For Dummies
Beagles are an extraordinary breed—no bones about it. They’re cute, compact, fun-loving, and great with kids. (Not to mention those soulful eyes!) But their sense of humor, independence, and stubborn nature isn’t for everyone. So whether you’re thinking about getting your very own Snoopy-dog, or if you’ve already opened your heart and home to one, Beagles for Dummies answers important questions like:
What are Beagles supposed to look like and how should they behave?
Should I choose a puppy or an adult dog? Male or female?
How do I correct my Beagle’s behavior problems?
What do I need to do to survive my Beagle’s puppyhood?
How can I Beagle-proof my house to keep him (and my stuff) safe?
What should I teach my Beagle to do? How do I teach him?
What health problems is my Beagle likely to have when he’s young? How about when he grows up—or gets old?

Life with these little hounds can lead to years of merriment, entertainment, and love—but if you think Beagles are just another hound dog, think again! Whether you want to know everything there is to living with a Beagle, or just want to skip to a relevant subject (like how to keep him out of the hamper), Beagles for Dummies gives you everything you need to choose and raise your Snoopy soul mate..

It has been in continuous publication since James Wilson established it in September 1843. Encyclopedia Of Hinduism
By Constance A. Jones, James D. Ryan

Publisher: Facts on File
Number Of Pages: 512
Publication Date: 2007-02-28

This is an immensely important book for Westerners
As a Westerner who became interested in Eastern spiritual teachings thirty years ago, I was appalled to discover then, my own ignorance and the ignorance of others in the West about Hinduism and its spinoff, Buddhism, the principal Eastern religions.
There is even today in the West, thirty years later, a vacuum of knowledge about Hinduism. The Encyclopedia of Hinduism by professors Jones and Ryan helps to fill this vacuum in a simple, straightforwsrd way.
The entries are arranged alphabetically, and one can find information on the key concepts in Hinduism along with biographical and other information about the key historical and contemporary figures in this great world religion.
Of even more importance for the Westerner, in my view, is the ten page introduction explaining Hinduism's origins, its sacred texts, its contemporary situation, and its esoteric aspects sometimes known as Vedanta or Advaita which carry their own entries and typify the thorough nature of this Encyclopedic work.
You will not regret owning this book. Highly recommended.

What comes between "How do you do?" and "I do"? How do you find a lifetime partner in a way that's God-centered, not self-centered?
Boy Meets Girl is an honest, romantic and refreshingly biblical look at relationships. It's about dating with a purpose. About friendship plus possibility. About romance chaperoned by wisdom. And it's for all ages—single or not. Married couples or parents can benefit from reading this book to encourage and counsel the single adults in their lives, too.
