The Brave Tin Soldier is a nice collection of short stories by Clifton Johnson. The book in the series of Bedtime Wonder Tales is made up of favourite stories from the folklore of all nations. Such stories are particularly enjoyed by children from four to twelve years old.
From nonsense to lessons learned, these forty five rhymes include the very well known (Itsy Bitsy Spider) and the somewhat familiar, (Hickety, Pickety, my black hen).
This book was designed to help parents answer these important questions, and it is based on two fundamental ideas: The first is that there are no bad children, and no deliberately bad parents -- but that sometimes, despite the best of intentions on both sides, there can be bad relationships between parents and children. The second is that, as parents, we must do everything we can to save those relationships, to reach out and really communicate with our children, because it is only through talking to them that we can create an environment for inspiration and change.
Mother Goose is a collection of traditional children's rhymes that were in common use in 17th century England. There is no fixed canon and most common Mother Goose collections are a sampler of the larger population of several hundred traditional rhymes. Not all children's nursery rhymes are Mother Goose rhymes; new ones are being written all the time. However, all Mother Goose materials are nursery rhymes.
