Systems Biology in Psychiatric Research: From High-Throughput Data to Mathematical Modeling
This first book to provide a comprehensive overview of the recent progress made in this break-through approach includes expert contributions from a variety of disciplines. Particular focus is placed on high-throughput methods and the analysis of data thus obtained, as well as their use in silico experiments so as to gain an insight into the complex biological processes in neuronal systems.
The Theory of holomorphic functions of several complex variables is undergoing rapid developments. An important aspect of this developmnet is the study of zero sets of functions which are of great importance in algebraic and differential geometry and related areas. This is the first book to be published in which zero sets of holomorphic functions of several complex variables are studied from a geometric point of view.

Hyperion
Hyperion is a Hugo Award-winning 1989 science fiction novel. It is the first book of the Hyperion Cantos, and is the only book in it to extensively employ the literary device of the frame story (although arguably The Fall of Hyperion also uses it, but to a lesser extent). The plot of the novel is highly complex, featuring multiple time-lines and characters whose behavior changes dramatically.
Thoroughly updated, the book has been expanded to cover everything on materials and structures that engineering students are likely to need. Starting with basic mechanics, the book goes on to cover modern numerical techniques such as matrix and finite element methods. There is also additional material on composite materials, thick shells, flat plates and the vibrations of complex structures. Illustrated throughout with worked examples, the book also provides numerous problems for students to attempt.

The Bear and the Dragon by Tom Clancy
Power is delightful, and absolute power should be absolutely delightful--but not when you're the most powerful man on earth and the place is ticking like a time bomb. Jack Ryan, CIA warrior turned U.S. president, is the man in the hot seat, and in this vast thriller he's up to his nostrils in crazed Asian warlords, Russian thugs, nukes that won't stay put, and authentic, up-to-the-nanosecond technology as complex as the characters' motives are simple.
