A little girl views her first day at school with fear and trepidation. "I won't know anyone. School dinners will make me sick. The teachers will bite me. I'll be the littlest," she complains. But school is a hit and she even makes a friend. The two new friends are horrified to discover that they are expected to go to school on the following day too!
This is Liam. Liam has lots of friends who love him and want to play with him. Sometimes Liam goes to his friends' houses to play. Sometimes Liam's friends come to his house to play. When we get together with friends, we greet them by looking at their face and saying, 'Hi'. We don't look down or look away and say nothing. We don't run off when friends arrive. They will think they don't want to play with us!
After decorating the caboose puts Barney and his friends in the holiday spirit, they trim the Christmas tree in the snow-covered park. But something's missing - the shiny, gold star for the treetop! So it's "over the river and through the woods" to grandmother's attic to search for the missing star. Just imagine all the treasure they discover - little drummer boys and an antique typewriter that's perfect for writing a letter to Santa. After reenacting the classic poem, "The Night Before Christmas" the children celebrate with friends and family as Barney places the Christmas star atop the tree!
Frog is not content to be just a plain green frog; he wants to do the things his friends can do. He tries to fly like Duck, to bake cakes like Pig and to read like Hare. But all his attempts are doomed to failure. Hare points out that his friends love him just the way he is. And in any case, he can swim and leap better than any of them!
When Frog finds a blackbird lying still on the ground, his friend Pig thinks the bird is asleep, Goose thinks he is ill, but Hare knows the bird is dead. Together the animals bury the small bird, and for a while even the chirping of the other birds has ceased. Then, the friends once again begin to run and play and, as they head for home, they hear another blackbird's song as lovely as before.
