V Magazine was launched in September 1999 as the younger sibling publication to the limited-edition quarterly Visionaire. If Visionaire is a couture book, V is ready-to-wear. V is large-format and visually-driven, international in scope and collaborative in spirit.
The Gun Seller (1996) is Hugh Laurie's first novel. It concerns former Scots Guards officer Thomas Lang and his reluctant involvement in a conspiracy involving international arms dealers, terrorists, the CIA, the MoD, beautiful women and fast motorcycles.

This engaging set covers well-trodden ground, but its quick factual manner sets it apart from other works. It is an excellent addition to high school and community college libraries supporting lower-level classes in U.S. history. It could also be used to support international student programs at higher-level institutions.
