Sergeant Decker is called to investigate a rape charge in an isolated Orthodox Jewish Community. Rina Lazarus, a young widow who found the victim, guides Decker through her suspicious community as all the signs point to the rapist's first crime not being their last.
Minutes after Sergeant Peter Decker's witnesses his wife giving birth, he realizes something is wrong at the hospital. There is something the doctors are not telling him and the early signs look bad: a missing nurse's burnt out car and a whole network of family tragedy and betrayal.

The new, 2nd Edition of this practical guide employs a sign-oriented approach to the diagnosis of both common and rare medical disorders. This comprehensive collection of clinical pictures, organized by anatomical region, reflects actual clinical practice where a diagnosis has to be constructed from a single sign or a collection of signs. Fundamental, pathognomonic, and commonly seen specific and non-specific clinical signs are presented with clinical features highlighted for rapid recognition and interpretation. In addition, the book provides guidance on appropriate bedside clinical tests for establishing diagnoses.
The Theming of America - American Dreams, Media Fantasies and Themed Environments 2nd Ed.
This second edition of Theming of America is an analysis of American society in which the author, Mark Gottdiener explores the nature of social change since the 1960s as reflected in the "theming" of America--from Graceland to Dollywood, from Las Vegas to Disneyworld, from the Mall of America to your local mall. Nowhere can modern Americans escape the profusion of recognizable symbols and signs attached to virtually all aspects of our culture, constantly reminding us that we are on familiar and comforting ground.
