The Art of Woodworking is a long series (25 books) published in the 90's. Each volume details specific tools, skills, or techniques used to work with wood or specific things to home/garage. It does give a nice option for a closet workshop, although it didn't look real practical to me. The book is lacking in specifics for bulding a bench or home repair area. This book is designed more for a person who wants a "workshop" and has a number of power tools to place in the room, such as scroll-saw, drill press, planer, etc. build out of wood.
Works of science fiction and fantasy increasingly explore gender issues, feature women as central characters, and are written by women writers. This book examines women's contributions to science fiction and fantasy across a range of media and genres, such as fiction, nonfiction, film, television, art, comics, graphic novels, and music. The second volume provides alphabetically arranged entries on more specific subjects, such as Hindu mythology, Toni Morrison, magical realism, and Margaret Atwood.
This thoroughly illustrated handbook is the first complete how-to guide to the use of manual medicine techniques for sports injuries. For each region of the body, the book describes anatomy, physiology, physical examination, and common sports injuries, and details the various manual medicine techniques, with step-by-step instructions for treating specific injuries. More than 400 illustrations demonstrate how to apply these techniques.
Mammals are among the most familiar - and the most diverse - life-forms. Divided into six comprehensive volumes featuring more than 400 full-color photographs and illustrations, the new "Exploring the World of Mammals" set provides more than 100 informative articles describing in detail specific groups of mammals, such as bears, cats and dogs, and families of carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores.
Handbook of the History of General Topology, Vol. 2
This book is the second volume of the Handbook of the History of General Topology. As was the case for the first volume, the contributions contained in it concern either individual topologists, specific schools of topology, specific periods of development, specific topics or a combination of these. The second volume focuses on the work of famous topologists, such as W. Sierpinski, K. Kuratowski (both by R. Engelkind), S. Mazurkiewicz (by R. Pol) and R.G. Bing (by M. Starbird).
