It's easy, amazingly versatile and often very quick - but there are not many exciting patterns out there for the young and fashionable woman. This book aims to change all that. As well as covering all the basic techniques with clear, step-by-step instructions, it also includes 30 specially-designed projects for stylish items of clothing and accessories. In addition, it also has a section on using knitting to customize existing garments to create a unique new look.
This is the third time I've visited the world of the Spellmans and I'll definitely be back. I'm not sure I'll be back via the Kindle since the footnotes (and there's a lot of them) are a pain to use on the Kindle. You have to place the cursor on the note, hit the okay button, get taken to the note, read it, and then hit the back button to be taken to the story. That's okay if there's only one note per screen, but on one screen, there were 3 notes and it's just too much of a hassle to switch back and forth (navigation of the the Kindle's cursor is not the easiest task).

Levine is a gifted teacher; he introduces each new thing step by step, working up from simple scales (even I was familiar with the stuff in the first 50 pages) to more complex ones, reharmonisation, modal playing, altered chords and all the other stuff that people spend a lifetime getting to know. At each step, there are none of the sudden leaps in assumed knowledge that I've found in other instruction books.
