The Land of Laughs
For schoolteacher Thomas Abbey there was no writer to equal Marshall France, a legendary author of children's books who hid himself away in the small town of Galen and died of a heart attack at the age of forty-four. Tom and his girlfriend Saxony, wanting to write France's biography, arrive in Galen, where they discover the writer's fiercely protective daughter Anna is waiting for them. Before long, they realise that this idyllic little town and its inhabitants - both human and animal - are not quite what they seem: France's magic has spread beyond the printed page . . .
George Galen is a brilliant scientist, a pioneer in gene therapy. But Galen is dangerously insane - he has created a method to alter human DNA, not just to heal diseases, but to “improve” people - make them stronger, make them able to heal more quickly, and make them compliant to his will.

No One To Trust
No One To Trust is an exciting romantic thriller starring two protagonists, who share in common, fighting on both sides of the law and no fear of meting out justice. There are plenty of action scenes for those readers who like high drama thrills and heart-pumping action. The offbeat courtship of Galen and Elena is unusual but fits their personalities as Iris Johansen's latest work is going to please her myriad of fans.
